Eagle Mountain to Annex Land

EAGLE MOUNTAIN — City leaders are taking steps to annex land on the west side all the way to Fairfield, while separately turning more agriculture land into commercial uses. The council accepted a petition to start the annexation of more than 3,100 acres from the western city boundaries to Fairfield and includes the community of White Hills. That began a 30-day review period, Peterson said, before the annexation can take place. Also, the City Council on Tuesday approved the land use document and master development plan that regulates how a 364-home community in the northeast section of the city will be developed.
